Curvy in the City Creations - Summer Breeze

This outfit was inspired by a warm summer day. The outfit pops with the yellow dress with the focus in the striped, platform, slingbacks. I added some contrast with the sea green accessories and topped it off with a bold eye and lip. Ready for happy hour!!

Here is an outfit I created on Polyvore, mainly because my social life this week has been non-existent.....so sad I know!!!

So to have something to post I put together this outfit. I think it is the perfect outfit for a night out with the girls or a date night.

Curvy in the City Part 1

This is the start of my fashion chronicle as I navigate the city of Atlanta. This week I went out to the Ritz II, which is located on the South side of Atlanta. Let me just say that there were some interesting fashions showing up throughout the night.

For example I have never in my life seen a woman in a leotard outside of a dance class or ballet. Yet, that night I saw not one but two women wearing leotards. I will say this...one of the ladies had the body to kinda pull it off. However, the other woman clearly did not and it ended up looking a hot mess!

Also, in small doses I like animal print as much as the next gal, but ladies when you have a leopard dress and shoes, it just becomes print overkill! Animal print is also not for all shapes and sizes....for my plus size ladies animal print pants or a dress can end up looking unflattering and even comical. So remember ladies! Small doses please!!!

Now, I chose to dress pretty casual, for me, with my shoes dressing what could be called a pretty plain dress.  I wore a tubed boyfriend shirt style dress from KnowStyle, and paired it with cream wedges by Levity from DSW.

I topped the outfit off with  the Peacock earrings, gold and silver bangles from "Fashion Motivation Found!!!", and a taupe snakeskin clutch  from Pink Sky Boutique.

I chose to wear my hair as an updo because I just love a quick bun that looks kinda messy but elegant. I also wanted to highlight my earrings. Boyfriend shirt dresses are a popular trend right now that I absolutely love!! With this dress you can go casual with some cute flat sandals or dress it up with a wide belt and heels.
These dresses fit sort of loose so it's perfect for slim or curvy shapes. These dresses are affordable and can be bought at different retail stores such as this dress from Forever21.

'Lil' Cowgirl Chic!!

This post is dedicated to my Lil Fashionista in Training!!! She's only two but she already is a little diva.....as you can see she loves taking pictures!!!

I call her outfit Cowgirl Chic because all she would need is a hat and she looks like she is ready for a rodeo!!!

The top and sweater are Polo Ralph Lauren , the skirt is Old Navy, the tights are from the Children's Place, and lastly her knee boots are from Baby Gap.

Doesn't she look like she's ready to be the next Miley Cyrus?????!

Fashion Motivation Found Update!!

I am very late in posting the new pics from my last blog, but here they are!!! I tried to include some pics of my makeup but they did not turn out very clear (sorry!).  My night out at the Ultimate Sports Bar & Grill was a blast! I had so much fun and looked very cute doing it!  Some might think I was a little overdressed for a sports bar, but my motto is I would rather be overdressed than underdressed (that's the worst).....plus that is just my personal style....

Hope you enjoy!!

Here are the pics that show my makeup! I used Urban Decays Naked palette and Book of Shadows. I also use tutorials on YouTube from iCraiz and julieg713 which are really amazing and detailed.

Fashion Motivation Found!!!

I finally figured out what to wear!! I decided on a tube ruffle to dress from 5-7-9, purple pleather jacket from Forever21, and dark chocolate knee high boots from Bakers. The clutch is from Pink Sky Boutique, the bracelets are a mix of WetSeal and Forever21, and the Peacock and feather earrings I made.

I chose a dress because honestly I just could not think of a top to wear with pants or jeans, plus it's non-restricting and flatters every figure. I paired the purple jacket to bring out the purple tones present in the dress.

I HATE matchy-matchy items so usually if I am wearing a certain color on my feet (such as chocolate), I will introduce a different color my other accessories. The clutch I LOVE, it has the chocolate tones from the boots in the handle, but the body of the purse is a brown python pattern.

Based on the pattern of the dress I decided to do a Peacock earring to bring out the green, gold, and blue tones in the dress.
